Bridal Makeup Artist in Nottingham and Leicester

April Round Up

It’s been a few weeks since my last post and this year seems to be flying by, I really don’t know where the time is going.   April was my busiest month so far with many weddings, a couple of commercial jobs and a styled shoot.    But the biggest news is that I finally finished my makeup studio, something I’ve been planning for the past year.  I now have a lovely purpose built room to carry out makeup trials, it’s a really relaxing place for brides to come and look through my portfolios, have a chat about their wedding day and have their makeup trial in gorgeous surroundings.

I’ve been back at some of my favourite venues this month and I thought I would share some of my April brides with you.

Here’s Rachel, who got married on Easter Sunday at the beautiful Mythe Barn in Warwickshire.   Rachel wanted a glamorous look for her wedding and we based her look on Kim Kardashian’s wedding makeup.  (I apologise for the shower in the background, the bathroom had the best natural light!).

This is Lyndsey, who got ready at her parents’ house which had a stunning view overlooking Belvoir Castle.   Lyndsey’s hair was by Helen Sutcliffe, a very talented stylist and winner of the TWIA Best Wedding Hairstylist 2015.

Here’s another Rachel, who also got married over the Easter Weekend in Derby.   I really got on with Rachel and had a fab morning getting her and her bridal party ready.

Here’s Rebecca, who got married at the beautiful Prestwold Hall in a stunning gown from Cymbeline.   I fell in love with Rebecca’s headpiece.

At the end of the month, I worked on a photoshoot with Paralympic Gold Medallists Hannah Cockroft MBE and Jonnie Peacock MBE and also the new BT Paralympic Ambassadors, Julie Rogers and Ben Rowlings.   Here’s a pic of the new stars who are featuring in the BT campaign in the run up to the 2016 Paralympics.

Julie Rogers and Ben Rowlings have been announced as the latest BT Ambassadors

This month I was also the guest beauty expert in Your East Midlands Wedding Magazine with tips on how to melt-proof your makeup.

May is shaping up to be the busiest month this year.  I’ve already done six weddings with several more to do before the end of the month.    I’m working on a couple of exciting shoots this month and I will share some more news with you very soon!  And finally, here’s a pic of my new makeup studio.  I hope to see you there soon 🙂
